Helping Teens with Mental Health

STTE, a nonprofit organization, has creatively designed SayWhat?!, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) content helping teens with mental health. We recognize in this digital era, teenagers, in particular, opt for social platforms as their primary source for authoritative news. Now more than ever, it is vital that their news outlets are not only reliable but engaging and impactful. STTE creatively designed a solution that provides school systems the necessary SEL content and inspires teens with positive educational information. Further, we intend to promote project-based learning programs like robotics, AR Science Fair, and entrepreneurship to a direct segment of teens thus helping increase participation and impact.

SayWhat?! engages, inspires, and promotes STEAM and entrepreneurial news content delivered in a fun, informative, and engaging format.

SayWhat.tv seeks to provide SEL news content to schools in the following areas.

Engage, educate youth in career exploration and development
Build community in entrepreneurship and financial literacy
Inspire and influence the next generation through mentorship

Teachers Award Show

The Success Through Technology Education (STTE) Foundation and CREEED recognized the exceptional accomplishments of eight El Paso-area educators as part of the 2021 STTE Foundation/CREEED Teacher Awards. Thanks to a partnership with KVIA-TV, this year’s Teacher Awards were presented during a broadcasted awards show.

Educators recognized during an awards show displayed their dedication to students and families throughout the COVID-19 pandemic by developing creative solutions to ensure children continued to learn and grow, even in virtual learning environments. Specifically, today’s winners have excelled at encouraging students to pursue careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics (STEAM) fields, providing innovative approaches to curriculum, afterschool programming, and access to various means of professional development to students in the El Paso region.

The eight awardees honored during this year’s event are:

STTE Foundation Regional Innovator Award – Laura Ramos, Hillside Elementary School, El Paso ISD
